Hey singers! Welcome to Module 3 of the online Rising Voice holistic course. You will be guided step by step through YOUR journey of finding your voice and becoming an independent artist. In the first 3 episodes of this Module, you will learn how to control vocal dynamics in combination to your singing, how to continue experimenting with the timbre and texture of your voice. I'm explaining how everything is oscillating in our Universe and how imitating natural sounds can help you grow vocally. I'm giving you techniques for tone improvement and tips on how to stay on pitch. The use of your head voice and the advantages it can bring to your singing skills. Episode 4 of this Module is dedicated to various affordable pieces of equipment and gear that you can purchase to setup your home/traveling music studio. The "Life of a Rose" is a song dedicated to Mary Magdalene. It was channeled by Marlia Coeur inspired by the red heart spot she found one day in Tegalalang area in Bali, Indonesia. Everything is powered by a power bank (no electricity socket in the middle of Bali jungle!) She is wearing an in-ear piece because there is no speaker, this is the only way she can hear the effex pedals, the voice's reverb and the loop station to be able to sync along. "Life of a Rose" is the first channelled song/prayer of a new series of in-situ improvisations (part of Marlia's Earth Gridding New Earth project). There are high vibrational healing places around the Earth which work together as energetic vortexes, forming a grid around the planet to keep everything on Earth in balance. Today's Libra full moon is helping out with the official release of my new song "Palisandros" (meaning "Rosewood", one of the main kinds of tonal wood used in traditional instrument-making), which I have been procrastinating for some time now, because of how vulnerable and exposed it makes me feel in a lot of many different ways. First and foremost, singing in my native Cypriot dialect; this is the first song I have written in Cypriot. It brings tears to my eyes every single time. Partly I know why; partly I am waiting to explore.. Secondly, there is nothing fancy about this recording; yet the story is interesting: I conceived the melody 3 years ago while rehabilitating from a knee surgery and being hosted in Greece by my dear friend & exceptional guitarist Bill Stathopoulos, I wrote the lyrics while trying it on the piano of my brilliant songsister Arianna Tondo ヅ in Italy, I recorded it with special creature's Benjamin Hedengran Andersen classical guitar in a soundproofless hut in India, I used the chimes, rattles, cajon and djembe belonging to multi-talented musician and top-notch father David Esteban, while shooting the video in the wilderness of the Philippines with charismatic and tribal soulsister Dona Tumacder-Esteban, finally mixing and producing it in the company of my dogs in Cyprus. Lastly, I would like to dedicate this song to mother Earth and the four elements. And I would like this song to be a reminder to all of us: That no matter how tough people wish to look on the outside, remember there is a soft, tender and sensitive part somewhere deep inside them, that got trapped there for one reason or another. VOICE ACTIVATION workshop Tauranga, New Zealand March 2019 We come together in a circle. We enter a meditative practice, "The Yoga of Sound", exploring the inner workings of the Voice. Gradually we start to sing with grace and tune in. Participants will work with voice experimentation and sound production, improvisation and expression through spontaneous interaction in an atmosphere of absolute acceptance and encouragement. We use the vibrations of our voice's sounds for relaxation, release and self-improvement in our personal journey. Mantras is a word or a short phrase that you continually repeat either aloud or silently to yourself in order to focus and clear your mind of any thoughts. Eventually, you can let go of the mantra and find yourself in the place of stillness and silence that is the goal of meditation. A few words about the facilitator: Marlia teaches classical guitar and composes, writes lyrics, arranges and records her songs, sometimes only with natural instruments and sometimes with the help of loopers, samples and effect pedals, where the voice always plays a leading role. She is a teacher and student of yoga and recently released her first independent solo album "Ode to Self" (2017). Zeus also had his eyes set on Taygete and tried to seduce her. Before he could reach her, she ran into the arms of Artemis, who turned Taygete into a doe so that she could escape the clutches of Zeus.
