By this definition, how an individual feels about himself is no more legitimate than how others feel about him, and so it is important that this individual gains a certain level of maturity as he grows older to earn the respect of others.
However, maturity need not reflect one's actions in a social situation among well-known peers, as in these situations there is no need to establish a sense of maturity as once maturity is established, it by no means has to be a norm. Furthermore, one need not establish maturity on how others view their personality, because a casual observer cannot totally judge someone he or she does not know on a personal level.

SSPP Reads: Multiple Intelligences - 0 views

I'm learning more about the multiple intelligences right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is how did Howard Gardner come up with the multiple intelligences. I was researching this online, and this blog post caught my attention because it mentioned Howard Gardner and the multiple intelligences. The title also showed a preview of what the article is about. I read the blog post and didn't show what i want, however i did find this quote to be intriguing. "Howard Gardner has questioned the idea that intelligence is a single entity, that it results from a single factor, and that it can be measured simply via IQ tests. . . challenging also the cognitive development work of Piaget. Bringing forward evidence to show that at any one time a child may be at very different stages for example, in number development and spatial/visual maturation, Howard Gardner has successfully undermined the idea that knowledge at any one particular developmental stage hangs together in a structured whole. (infed.org/thinkers)" The quote i chose here is basically saying that Howard Gardner noticed that people learn differently through the study of basic children. I think this is informative because it makes me wonder how he figured this out without using really complex technology.

I'm learning more about Maturity right now in particular what I'm wondering about is how long it takes for maturity to kick in. I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because its true. My father talks about this all the time. "They refuse to blame other people or circumstances, and accept that they have made and will make mistakes. In order to live that way, they know they need to keep learning - especially from their mistakes - and put a high priority on wisdom. The wiser they get, the more more wisdom they want, and the more grateful they become for every source of wisdom, learning and knowledge. Children say, "Its not my fault."" The quote i chose here is basically saying That as time goes along eventually you take responsibility for your actions and you stop with baby foolishness like saying he did it and she did it. I think this is great because It makes me wonder wow this is easy because could do this and its easy if thats all you have to do

maturity is not determined by one's age.
-
In fact, judge Julian Mack, who helped create the juvenile court system in the United States, said that juvenile justice was based on the belief that young people do not always make good decisions because they are not mature, but this means that they can be reformed more easily than adults.[2] However, the relationship between psychological maturity and age is a difficult one, especially when it comes to the law. Immaturity is often used to distinguish between adolescents and adults, and there has been much debate over how to tell if someone is mature, especially regarding social issues like abortion.[3]
