The San Mateo-based Califa Group, which is the largest library network in California, has made major strides in its project to create an ebook ownership model along the same lines as the Douglas County Libraries in Colorado.

Let's create a project that can get some funding to help us all write and promote our books. Get some great authors to visit us, maybe. Buy some coffee and donuts for our WriteIns! Writing is not exactly the world's most expensive habit... but a few bucks would definitely help!

I LOVE THIS... let's all write our drafts in November with NaNoWriMo, so we have plenty of time to share ideas, edit and re-edit, and heck, even write a SECOND book to publish before Fall 2013! There's also a Young Writer's version if you have kids who'd like to participate.
