The grumpy-looking, gelatinous blobfish has won a public vote to become the official mascot of the Ugly Animal Preservation Society.

Researchers have found evidence to suggest that climate change, rather than humans, was the main factor that drove the woolly mammoth to extinction.

Otters have taken up residence in Bristol's Floating Harbour.

Droppings were found in the harbourside area by a city council conservation officer, who commissioned a survey into the local otter population.
