Short video of world culture. If the world's population was shrunk to a 100 people community how many people from that community would represent the different people of the world. Don't know exactly where to use it, but I think it could roughly apply either in the very start of the year or at the tail end as part of the conclusion.

I'm using this quote as a thought starter for the purpose of government. Guiding questions will include: 1. What does this quote mean? 2. Who do you think the author is? Thinking about this quote will help students to think about the purposes of their own political system so that they can compare and contrast with political systems in other parts of the world.
