    SITEMINDER, THE HOSPITALITY software platform led by CEO Sankar Narayan, and IDeaS recently launched the "Dynamic Revenue Plus" revenue management system that enables hotels to access live market intelligence and quickly act on their bookable inventory, pricing and distribution strategies. This mobile-first solution allows any hotel to optimize revenue based on market demand, unlike traditional RMS, which are often limited to select hotels. Dynamic Revenue Plus employs data from SiteMinder's platform, encompassing 120 million annual hotel bookings, and will soon be enhanced with pricing recommendations from IDeaS, the companies said in a joint statement. "We're committed to democratizing revenue management and bringing the benefits of dynamic, demand-based pricing to hotels across the globe," said Klaus Kohlmayr, IDeaS' chief evangelist and development officer. "This partnership offers hotels of all sizes and operating models a viable option to avoid losing revenue due to outdated manual practices." The integration of IDeaS' dynamic pricing capabilities with SiteMinder's distribution platform and market intelligence will help hotels of all sizes, including those with limited resources, with robust revenue management and quick market access, the statement said. It will initially be available to hotels in Australia and New Zealand, expanding to other markets in 2025, the companies said.

U.S. Hotel Openings 2025: NYC & Nashville Lead Growth | CoStar Report - 0 views

    THE U.S. IS expected to see 953 hotel openings with 108,366 rooms in 2025, with New York City and Nashville leading at 5,719 and 2,849 rooms, respectively, according to CoStar. Around 1,865 hotels with 198,319 rooms are projected to open in 2026. Other markets, including San Diego, Dallas, and Phoenix, are projected to open 5,719, 2,849, and 2,818 rooms in 2025, the report said. "The ongoing development in New York City is not surprising given the market's status and its high performance in recent years," said Isaac Collazo, STR's senior director, analytics. "With major sources of leisure and business travel, New York reported the highest occupancy level of any U.S. market in both 2023 and 2024. Though fewer rooms are in construction compared to 2023, more are in the planning and final planning stages, pointing to continued investment in the long term."

According to AHLA, the exchange helps create new jobs and contributes to economic growth. The Hotel Fees Transparency Act and the No Hidden FEES Act would establish a single and transparent standard for mandatory lodging fee display and an even competitive playing field for hotels, short term rentals, online travel agencies, and metasearch sites.

The seven-story 184-suite Embassy Suites will be developed for $54 million and includes rooftop and street-level bars and a coffee area in an open lobby. The project also includes a leasable restaurant space and 5,000 total square feet of meeting space, Vision said in a statement. Vision said it will bring an economic boost to the destination with more than 100 jobs ranging from senior management positions, guest service agents, housekeepers and others. With a construction timeline of approximately two years led by Humphreys and Associates Contractors, LLC, the hotel is expected to open in the summer of 2025. "We are thrilled to begin construction on this project in our hometown of Chattanooga, just steps from our company headquarters," said Mitch Patel, Vision's president and CEO. "This project is our first Embassy Suites hotel, and we know the brand's value-added services are a perfect fit for this location welcoming both corporate and leisure travelers." Embassy Suites by Hilton, one of Hilton's 19 brands. Amenities will include a fitness center and an evening reception. Embassy Suites by Hilton has more than 260 open hotels, with 42 properties under development. The Embassy Suites Chattanooga is one among 15 projects in Vision's development pipeline expected to open in the next two years. The company's portfolio comprises 16 properties in Greater Chattanooga and 41 nationwide, the statement added.
