Peachtree Group recently promoted 15 senior-level executives to support business initiatives within its investment and investment services teams. From the investment team, Nicholas Huddleston is promoted to vice president, loan servicing; Matthew Larre to vice president, portfolio management; Kendall Burrus to assistant vice president, debt asset management; John Schellhase to assistant vice president, development investments; and Matthew Weatherford to assistant vice president, dispositions and acquisitions. Promotions in the investment services team include: Daniel Puglisi to senior vice president, corporate operations, hospitality management; Lee Shuman to senior vice president, hospitality development; Jenelle Zadik to senior vice president, people, culture, and workplace initiatives; Allison Frazier to vice president of revenue management; Sophia Koehl to vice president of hotel accounting; and Charles Talbert to vice president, corporate communications. Also promoted in the services team were Eugene Barber III to assistant vice president, construction and design; Zachary Bollinger to assistant vice president, debt capital markets; Sean Hondorf to assistant vice president, renovation program; and Katherine Atkinson to controller.

PEACHTREE HOTEL GROUP and its affiliates, Peachtree PC Investors for capital markets and Peachtree Hospitality Management, made four changes at the senior leadership level recently. The promotions are intended to support the company's real estate investment platform and operation services, according to a statement. The Atlanta-based company, led by Jatin Desai and Mitul Patel as managing principals, promoted Greg Zabinski as executive vice president, capital markets for Peachtree PC Investors. Vivian Clarke is now senior vice president for people and culture. Steve MacKenzie was promoted to senior vice president over operations for Peachtree Hospitality Management, and Michael Ritz is now senior vice president for investments. "The success Peachtree is experiencing is creating significant opportunities for us in the talent space," said Greg Friedman, Peachtree's CEO. "These promotions support our strategic growth objectives, and we expect to have additional promotions and appointments as we further scale up our operations."

Brent LeBlanc is the new executive vice president of business development at Peachtree Group. In this role, LeBlanc will focus on growing the company's vertically integrated investment platforms by fostering business development and collaborating with investment teams to capture new opportunities. LeBlanc joined Peachtree in 2012 to lead a growth strategy, expanding the company's footprint in the western U.S. and strengthening relationships with premium hotel brands like Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG. During that time, he participated in more than $4 billion in real estate transactions across the enterprise, the statement said. Before joining Peachtree, LeBlanc held roles as vice president of franchise development at both Starwood Hotels & Resorts and La Quinta Inn & Suites. He has launched hotel brands and completed complex transactions with major U.S. hotel operators and developers, Peachtree said in a statement. Peachtree is led by CEO and managing principal Greg Friedman, CFO and managing principal Jatin Desai, and principal Mitul Patel.

Michael Harper is promoted to president of Hotel Lending at Peachtree Group, overseeing the company's entire hotel credit platform and guiding all aspects of the credit business. Similarly, Jared Schlosser rises to executive vice president of hotel lending and head of CPACE, while Michael Ritz is promoted to executive vice president of investments, Peachtree Group said in a statement. "These appointments underscore Peachtree's commitment to its core growth initiatives in hotel lending, as well as fostering talent from within our own ranks, with an eye toward further diversifying its allocation strategies as it taps into new investment opportunities," said Greg Friedman, Peachtree's CEO and managing principal. Since joining Peachtree in 2014, Harper has held a series of leadership positions, overseeing the company's credit business with a focus on loan originations and strategic acquisition of credit portfolios, Peachtree said. He has guided the team through over 500 investments totaling more than $6 billion.

Vickie Callahan is now president of Peachtree Group's management division, after serving as senior vice president for revenue generation. In her new role, she will oversee the company's 88 hotels across 27 brands, totaling 11,173 rooms in 23 states and Washington, DC, Peachtree said in a statement. "Since joining us in 2020 as senior vice president, revenue generation, Vickie has been an invaluable member of our team," said Greg Friedman, Peachtree Group's managing principal and CEO. "Vickie has successfully guided us through the pandemic's challenges with her strategic insights and ability to optimize our hotel revenues. Vickie's leadership will continue to be crucial as we navigate the evolving travel and hospitality landscape and deliver exceptional value to our guests and stakeholders." Peachtree is led by Friedman, Jatin Desai as managing principal and CFO, and Mitul Patel as principal.

PEACHTREE HOTEL GROUP and its affiliates added five executives to its management teams. These new appointments aim to strengthen the company's ability to support strategic growth objectives to scale its investment platform and further diversify allocation strategies, the company said in a statement. The Atlanta-based company, led by Jatin Desai and Mitul Patel as managing principals, appointed Matthew Ram as senior vice president of acquisitions and Susan McClure as vice president leadership and executive development. Will Woodworth assumed the role of vice president for investments, Nicole Havens is vice president of revenue management and Kelly Mascari is vice president of operations at PHG's affiliate Peachtree Hospitality Management.

Joe Palmer is now vice president of risk management for Atlanta-based Peachtree Hospitality Management. Also, Jatin Desai, managing principal and CFO for Peachtree Hotel Group and immediate past chair of the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance welcomed the new president of that organization, Kim Bardoul. Peachtree Hospitality Management is an affiliate of Peachtree Hotel Group. Previously, Palmer, who joined PHM in 2019, provided corporate support for a portfolio of 77 full-service and select-service properties. He also held positions with Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort, South Seas Island Resort and the Inns of Sanibel and Streamsong Resort.

NATALIE ROBINSON IS now vice president of people and culture for Peachtree Group. Also, the Atlanta-based company, led by Jatin Desai and Mitul Patel as managing principals, also says it's on the way to a record year for new hotel construction. Good with people Previously, Robinson was the human resource director of title company OS National, according to Peachtree Group. She began her career developing accounting and billing policies and procedures, as well as human resources systems for two Atlanta law firms. She holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and criminal justice from the University of Georgia. "It's an exciting time at Peachtree as our organization expands and evolves," said Vivian Clarke, Peachtree's senior vice president of people and culture. "Natalie's strong leadership skills will advance our culture, drive our growth and talent strategy, and strengthen our reputation as an employer of choice. Jamey Cua is the new vice president of business development for Peachtree Hotel Group's hotel operations and management division. Cua will oversee expansion of the Atlanta-based company's third-party management partnerships. Peachtree Hotel Group is led by Managing Principals Mitul Patel and Jatin Desai and CEO Greg Friedman. Prior to joining Peachtree, Cua was senior vice president for third-party managed development at Sage Hospitality. Before that he served as vice president of development for Marriott, International, Inc., and senior director of development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. He has a master's degree in business administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio, and a bachelor's degree in pre-med and sports medicine from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.

PEACHTREE GROUP SECURED $150 million in Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy financing in December, bringing its total to nearly $750 million since its establishment in 2019. In 2023 alone, Peachtree completed 23 CPACE financing deals in the U.S., totaling $250 million in directly originated and balance-sheet-funded transactions. Commercial real estate is set for a challenging 2024, with trillions of dollars in debt coming due, making refinancing more difficult, Peachtree said in a statement. This challenge is compounded by banks tightening lending standards. "In this challenging lending market, CPACE financing has emerged as a crucial source of liquidity," said Jared Schlosser, senior vice president of origination and head of PACE at Peachtree Group. "This financing option is becoming increasingly essential as owners grapple with looming debt maturities and limited refinancing opportunities."

The awards recognize hotels for service, innovation and commitment to guest satisfaction. Brian Leaf is now vice president and head of internal sales for Peachtree Hotel Group's broker-dealer affiliate Peachtree PC Investors. Previously, he was vice president for capital markets. Leaf joined Atlanta-based Peachtree in 2017, prior to which he was an internal wholesaler at Inland Securities Corp. in Oak Brook, Illinois. Before then he was a property manager for Colliers International in Atlanta. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and real estate from the University of Georgia and holds the FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses.

Steve Mackenzie is now executive vice president of hotel operations at Peachtree Group's hospitality management division. In this role, he will oversee the financial performance of Peachtree's hotel portfolio, ensure adherence to franchise procedures, regulations and standards, and foster company culture and team growth, Peachtree said in a statement. Peachtree is led by Greg Friedman as managing principal and CEO, Jatin Desai as managing principal and CFO and Mitul Patel as Principal. "Steve has been instrumental in the exceptional growth and results of our hospitality management portfolio over the past six years," said Vickie Callahan, Peachtree's hospitality management division president. "His leadership will continue to guide the team as we grow our portfolio."

Peachtree Group has named Jarred Bussert as vice president of information technology. In this newly created role, Bussert will be responsible for the company's IT infrastructure, including all business applications, information security and data integrity, the company said in a statement. "Jarred's experience and achievements demonstrate his commitment to supporting business strategies with technology infrastructure," said Greg Friedman, Peachtree's managing principal and CEO. "As Peachtree continues to grow, I am pleased to attract talented leaders to our best-in-class team. His leadership will be instrumental in building a successful and high-performing organization." Bussert has extensive enterprise-wide technical and IT leadership experience. Before joining Peachtree, he was vice president, information technology for Majors Management, an Atlanta-based retail operator. Bussert started his career with RaceTrac Petroleum holding numerous leadership positions, leaving as director, information systems. He has an MBA and Master of Technology from Georgia Tech and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia.

PEACHTREE GROUP RECENTLY launched a restaurant management division to operate quick-service restaurants, starting with coffee shops at hospitals, universities, and other high-traffic locations. The venture, led by Daniel Puglisi, senior vice president of corporate operations in Peachtree's hospitality management division, began with a partnership with AdventHealth, opening a Starbucks at AdventHealth Orlando. Peachtree is in talks with other coffee franchises to expand into high-demand markets with captive audiences, aiming to build a strong nationwide portfolio of quick-service coffee shop locations, the company said in a statement. "Since our founding in 2007, we have consistently grown by identifying inefficient markets and capitalizing on them to achieve strong returns and build sustainable businesses," said Greg Friedman, Peachtree Group's managing principal and CEO. "Expanding into restaurants from our existing hospitality management capabilities was a natural evolution. Our partnership with AdventHealth marks a significant milestone as we look to replicate this successful model across their network and other prime locations."

PEACHTREE GROUP RECENTLY received I-956F approval from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the agency overseeing the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, for developing a Home2 Suites by Hilton in Boone, North Carolina. USCIS adjudicated the I-956F petition for the hotel development in five months, Peachtree said in a statement. "It is a testament to the due diligence of the Peachtree team that it was able to get the project approved so quickly, especially when the published processing time is over 15 months," said Adam Greene, Peachtree's executive vice president of EB-5. The company, led by Greg Friedman as CEO and managing principal, Jatin Desai as managing principal and Mitul Patel as principal, originated $21.7 million in fixed-rate construction financing over a five-year term for Narsi Properties to develop the 105-room Home2 Suites near downtown Boone, Peachtree said. Narsi Properties is led by Deven, Neel and Rupal Patel as principals.

PEACHTREE GROUP PROVIDED $114.6 million in bridge loans to recapitalize two Hyatt hotels owned by McWhinney: Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin, Texas, and Hyatt Place Denver Peña Station in Denver. The company originated a 48-month floating-rate bridge loan for the 246-room Austin hotel and a 60-month fixed-rate bridge loan for the 226-room Denver hotel, Peachtree said in a statement. Peachtree is led by Greg Friedman, managing principal and CEO; Jatin Desai, managing principal and CFO; and Mitul Patel, principal. "The Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin is a standout property that embodies Austin's energy and appeal," said Jared Schlosser, Peachtree's executive vice president of hotel originations and head of CPACE. "This recapitalization reflects our confidence in the asset's potential and McWhinney's vision for creating exceptional destinations."

PEACHTREE HOTEL GROUP continues to restructure itself, now with two changes to its leadership. Brian Waldman, previously chief investment officer for the company is now filling the same role for the company's newly formed subsidiary Peachtree Group. Also, Jeremy Stoler joins the company as executive vice president of debt capital markets. Waldman will manage Peachtree's multi-billion-dollar investment portfolio and direct investment strategies across its operating, lending and real estate divisions, according to the company. Stoler will support Peachtree's operating companies and growth into other real estate sectors. "With Brian and Jeremy, we are fortunate to have extremely talented, respected leaders who are highly experienced and energized to drive our growth," said Greg Friedman, Peachtree's CEO and managing principal. "These announcements also come at a pivotal time for Peachtree as we further position ourselves to expand into other real estate sectors and businesses."

PEACHTREE GROUP SECURED a $73 million construction loan and C-PACE financing to fund the development of a 263-key dual-brand Home2 Suites and Tru by Hilton Hotel in San Diego, California, on behalf of the locally based Baxter Hotel Group. Baxter is set to commence construction on its 16-story, dual-branded hotel this month, with a projected 22-month construction timeline, Peachtree said in a statement. Peachtree facilitated a $50.4-million floating-rate construction loan with a three-year term and secured $22.6 million in fixed-rate C-PACE financing, amortized over 25 years. Collectively, these funds covered 64 percent of the total development cost, the statement said. "We were able to execute an innovative capital stack with the addition of C-PACE in an otherwise challenging financing market, providing ample capital for the construction to begin while saving the sponsor 200 basis points in interest rate spread," said Jared Schlosser, Peachtree's senior vice president, head of hotel origination and C-PACE.

Peachtree Group recently acquired the 180-room Hilton Garden Inn Denver Tech Center in Denver, marking its second hotel in Denver after the Element Denver Park Meadows. The company's hospitality management team will oversee the seven-story hotel located in the city's employment hub, Peachtree said in a statement. However, the financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed. "We are excited to acquire this premium-branded hotel in a growing submarket with a variety of diverse and stable demand generators," said Michael Bernath, Peachtree's senior vice president for acquisitions. "The Denver economy is well diversified, with the city gaining recognition as a burgeoning tech hub. We believe the expansion of the R-Line, increased connectivity of the area and the completion of the transformative Bellview Station development will continue to make the Denver Tech Center an attractive destination for consumers and corporations alike." Peachtree aims to further invest in the property, which was previously renovated in 2014, the statement said. The hotel is near the under-development Bellview Station, a transit-oriented mixed-use development spanning more than 50 acres. There are companies including Comcast, Oracle, Microsoft, Zoom, Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments, Newmont Mining, and Western Union in the vicinity.
