It also is the 25th hotel to open for Choice's relatively new midscale select-service brand. The 104-room Clarion Pointe Statesville is near Lake Norman, the Charlotte Motor Speedway, local breweries and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Amenities include an outdoor pool and a fitness center. The hotel is pet friendly. Other Clarion Pointe hotels have recently opened in Franklin, Tennessee; Rock Hill, South Carolina; and Beckley, West Virginia, and additional openings are expected this year in Tallahassee, Florida; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Syracuse, New York.
