SpiceJet, one of the low-cost carriers (LCCs) operational in India, has decided to give more options for travellers to book a cheap air ticket. It has organised a lucky draw on the basis of which, it will be giving out one lakh free tickets.

SpiceJet, an aviation company owned by the Sun Group of India, is one of the main low-cost carriers (LCC) in the country. This airline is a preferred choice of travellers as it is one of those flight carriers, which provide lowest airfare in the domestic category. The reason behind this is the continuous effort put in by the airline to keep up with the cut-throat competition prevalent in the domestic aviation market.

Recently, people who had made online flight booking for Pune-Bangalore flights with SpiceJet - one of the leading LCCs of India were pleasantly surprised. Passengers on six flights on this route were welcomed by the crew of the aircraft in a unique manner.

Recently, SpiceJet has signed a deal of over 4 billion USD with Boeing for 42 cost-efficient 737 MAX models. The news was officially announced by S. L. Narayanan, the Chief Financial Officer of the Sun Group during an air show in Hyderabad. He has stated that the delivery of the jets will begin from 2018, adjusting the previous order of 12 Boeing 737 NG planes.

One of the most favoured low-cost carriers (LCC) in the Indian subcontinent, SpiceJet has made Delhi its third base after Chennai and Hyderabad from where the all-new Bombardier Q400s will fly to their destinations. This comes mainly as a part of the expansion plans of the popular LCC.
