I saw a teacher use images of butterflies from this website for a first grade lesson on symmetry; they were printed in black and white and the students were asked to color them in using symmetrical colors--they were beautiful!!

A great Web Quest for second grade students! Students learn about the Arctic region by reading and researching Arctic animals and the weather in the Arctic on the internet. They then make a "Picture Encyclopedia". So fun!!

A great Web Quest for 2nd grade students! Students pretend they are scientists and are exploring the stages of the butterfly life cycle. Students are split up into groups and explore one specific stage. They find their information from books, the internet, and YouTube videos! Then groups then share their findings!
