A collaborative videoconference project gives you and your students an opportunity to learn with another school or classroom. There are many possibilities. Some projects are planned by educational service agencies, and others are planned by teachers and tech coordinators.

With technology evolving at the speed of light, and everyone looking to benefit from the latest, greatest hardware and software, keeping up can be challenging for educators, administrators, and school districts themselves. By now most of you have probably heard about Voicethread.com, the terrific, free (for K-12 educators), collaborative multimedia storytelling web application that is spreading around the world like wildfire. I've spoken about it many times, but today I want to briefly mention a couple of OUTSTANDING resources I've recently discovered that will make your use of this classroom tool a LOT easier.

Sometimes teachers and administrators need a kick in the pants to see what they perceive as problems re-framed in a different way. Adam S. Bellow, author of The Tech Commandments, and founder of eduTecher, spoke to a roomful of receptive teachers at the recent ISTE 2011 conference, and demonstrated some of the ironies and contradictions the education system is mired in. And he had some advice.

Students expect technology to be embedded in their learning process. Yet understanding what technology integration is and recognizing what it actually looks like are two different things. When we learn from our experiences (and mistakes) we develop wisdom! I have included a few suggestions so that classroom management with netbooks will be easier.

This a self-paced, scaffolded technology integration course for educators. Ok, so you've probably seen some of these, but I needed a snazzy title. I recently compiled two lists of sites from Richard Byrne's Blog - the site is an amazing resource, and I'm pretty certain that Richard doesn't sleep.
