Multiple choice questions give students food for thought on how other nations eat and share their meals, manners included. Nice for World Cultures classes and maybe even FCS. Drumming may be slightly annoying,
Great article I found on social and emotional learning. I enjoyed reading it, because it relates well with a topic I researched for another Wilson course this year. It would have been a great resource for my research paper.
This is a 5th grade wikispace for Mrs. Abernethy's class. The kids have created a variety of wikis and linked to other resources that all connect back to their curriculum.

This website is connected to National Geographic. It allows students to explore difficult topics such as Ecology and Geology through a game like experience. Students work on "missions" as they learn about our Earth.
I found this site through the RSS feed on Google Reader. The RSS stemmed from TechLearning. This site would probably be most applicable for 4th grade and up if it is to be used independently.
