      I think it is interesting that this website calls IVF a "low-risk procedure." Although complications are not frequent, the complications that are listed here are all very serious. The risk of multiple pregnancies is high, which can be very dangerous for the mother. Ectopic pregnancies are also very dangerous. I would expect this section of the website to include some statistics and numbers to back up "low-risk." If I was going to undergo this procedure, I would not be very comforted by this very brief section on the risks and complications.
  • Thanks to this technique, some couples with low chances of achieving a natural pregnancy, with no more than 1% of probabilities, may raise their chances up to 25% for each attempt. This places them at the same level of those who do not have any reproductive disorders, whose chances for achieving a natural pregnancy are between 20% and 30% for each attempt. The chances for success are cumulative, so that an in vitro fertilization treatment that consists of four successive attempts may raise the chances up to 70%.

      Although I was not very impressed by this website I was happy to see that it showed percentages. The percentages were not specifically high, which shows that the procedure does not always result in a success. I was glas to see that this was illustrated on the main page of the website.
