Little Bird Tales is a nice site intended for younger students to use to create digital stories. Little Bird Tales walks users through each step of creating a multimedia story. Users can upload images, draw images, or record from their webcams. Stories can be written with text or narrated by students using microphones connected to their computers. - Richard Byrne This tool allows teachers to create a free account, and easily bulk create student accounts and a class page.

Thi sis a spelling mistake

news agency site which re-publishes news story in child friendly language.  Comes with writing/discussion prompts, grammar, reading prompts  from other teachers. Appears to be Canadian! At least al Canadian content appeared for me. 

Build an online wall that can be built by/with students.  Post up multiple stickies with short senteces, keywords and images to address a topic.
