It's always important to take care of your health, but there are additional concerns to keep in mind when you're traveling. Whether you're taking a quick trip with your family or studying abroad for several months, it's easier to get sick when you're in a new place because your body hasn't had a chance to adjust to the food, water, and air in a new environment. Traveling can bring you in contact with things that your body isn't used to. Here are some tips on keeping your travel experience as healthy as possible. Don't Take a Vacation from Health The stress and excitement of travel can make you more likely to get sick, but if you follow a few simple tips, you're more likely to stay healthy throughout your trip - and your trip will definitely be more enjoyable. The good news is that as a teen, your immune system is as strong as an adult's, but lack of sleep and a poor diet can make it easier for you to become sick.

Jakarta - 1 views

Jakarta, the capital city of the Republic of Indonesia, is a special territory enjoying the status of a province, consisting of Greater Jakarta, covering an area of 637.44 square km. Located on the northern coast of West Java, it is the center of government, commerce and industry and as such has an extensive communications network with the rest of the country and the outside world. As Indonesia's main gateway, the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport serves a growing number of international airlines and domestic flights. Jakarta is a city of contrasts; the traditional and the modern, the rich and the poor, the sacral and the worldly, often stand side by side in this bustling metropolis. Even its population, gathered from all those diverse ethnic and cultural groups which compose Indonesia, are constantly juxtaposed as an ever- present reminder of the national motto; Unity in Diversity.

That ended quickly when movie studios arrived and a louche Los Angeles annexed the upstart. Today, Hollywood is at the crossroads of creativity and business, generating US$35 billion (RM115.552 billion) a year at the global film box office and drawing 40 million tourists annually. At this time each year, the film community congregates for Hollywood's biggest night, the Oscars. This year's star-studded awards take place at the Dolby Theatre on March 2. It's not all debauchery and late-night clubbing in Hollywood, although there is a lot of that. This neighbourhood in the heart of Los Angeles also boasts healthy alternatives, from the latest offbeat workouts to wheatgrass shots. The Astrological Travel Guide According to Huffingtonpost.com There are countless tips out there on where and how to travel, but not one like this. https://foursquare.com/westhilltravel http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/108506-westhill-consulting-travel-tours-inc It may not be certain, but why not take a leap of faith for once and try this travel guide according to you astrological sign by the Huffingtonpost.com. A little research based on each astrological sign's personality has led the Huffpost to these guidelines. Whatever your sign may be, one thing still stands true when travelling - you hold the key to your own travel destiny. Note: This travel guide is just a suggestion and may be followed at your own risk and liking. Aquarius: You Aquarius folk are an eclectic bunch. Your interests vary and you are the thinkers. You know what you like and you very much so know what you don't, so your next getaway should be planned with that in mind. Because you are one of the signs who can get lost in your thoughts, why not utilize that head space for some clarity? Book a trip to Iceland during the prime Northern Lights-seeing time and ponder life's big questions under the glorious Aurora Borealis. Even if you come up with no answers, at least you can come home with some amazing photos. Pisces: Pisces are, plain and simple, the givers. They are far happier when they are sharing their experiences or knowledge with others, especially those in need. A trip focused on service could be the perfect marriage of relaxation and giving back. Pisces people, why not look into an alternative spring break type trip to Ghana? You'll get away from the every day rat race but still get the satisfaction of helping those in need. Aries: If you're an Aries, you've got energy for days. Sitting on a beach soaking up the sun doesn't exactly tickle your fancy. You'll want to take all that restless energy and put it to good use. Try a trip down to Peru and make the ever-so-infamous trek up M

Enjoying Jakarta with Mercure Convention Centre Ancol Help - 2 views

They also offer a fitness centre and outdoor tennis courts, the Mercure Convention Centre Ancol is situated on the beachfront. It features beach views and 4-star rooms. I also love that the facilities at the Mercure include a ballroom, a kids club and a poolside snack bar. The hotel also provides family rooms, a coffee bar and 24 hour room service. Recreational facilities at the hotel include billiards, a garden and a playground. I enjoyed a unique dining experience at the bar and traditional restaurant. The hotel's comfortable restaurant is open for breakfast. Overall, I like the hotel. But I must give you a warning though, be aware of scams. Well, it is common everywhere and they always targets tourists and foreigners. Related Sites: http://westhillconsulting.info http://westhillconsulting.info/blog/

Pullman Jakarta Indonesia Hotel - 1 views

  •
Pullman Jakarta Indonesia Hotel I booked a vacation from Westhill Consulting Travel and Tours and I can say it was the best vacation ever. They booked me at Pullman Jakarta Indonesia Hotel and I couldn't be more happier with their choice. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first set foot in the hotel, the place was simply stunning. My expectations from a 5-star hotel were all met. I love my stay at the hotel and it made my whole vacation more enjoyable. It was so relaxing that after a long day of exploring the city I look forward on going back to the hotel and pamper myself. The first thing I tried was their sauna and the outdoor pool. Perfect after a long air trip. All the tiredness were all gone. Although I did not try their wellness centre and the fitness centre because I have no time to do so, I did try to visit and check it out. I was so impressed with all the facilities, all were modern and up-to-date. Too bad I didn't get to try an executive floor and a poolside snack bar. But of course I checked them out too, those wouldn't skip my eyes. Not to mention all the staff were very friendly and approachable. I am a self-confessed workaholic and I couldn't afford not to check on my business every once in a while even though I am on vacation. I am very thankful that Pullman Jakarta Indonesia provides Wi-Fi within the hotel, meaning I never had a problem staying connected during my whole stay. Top Tips for Travel for the Year Ahead - 1 views

Thomas Cook's decision to cease operating Irish charters, from April 30, demonstrates that traditional holidays are in flux. 'Dynamic packaging' is one of the travel buzzwords du jour, with licensed and bonded online companies, like budgetair.ie, clickandgo.com and lowcostholidays.ie, allowing consumers to package scheduled flights with accommodation into holidays that suit. One of my favourite newfamily travel websites is kidandcoe.com. It not only selects cool, family-friendly properties in destinations all over the world, but lists the specific criteria that parents want to check - such as whether there's a lift, dishwasher, changing table or high chair - as well as personal impressions and neighbourhood tips. 10 of The Best Resataurants in Edinburgh - 1 views

  •
10 of The Best Resataurants in Edinburgh There's no need to settle for generic, touristy restaurants in Edinburgh. Food blogger Jonathan Jones's favourites are an eclectic mix but all have fine food to shout about The Ship on the Shore Many tourists head to Leith to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia but many neglect to stop at The Shore. That's a shame as this area by the water is home to some 10 of the best restaurants Edinburgh's most welcoming and best quality restaurants. The Ship on the Shore focuses on seafood, with the catch of the day joined by a host of regulars, including a mean seafood chowder. If the sight of water isn't enough to perk up the seafarer inside you then surely the nautical maps along the wall will. Try a bowl of steamed Shetland mussels - they'll provide you with an enduring memory of this fine City. Castle Terrace Restaurant This is the sister restaurant to Edinburgh's Michelin-starred The Kitchin. Enjoy a drink in the bar or, even better, wait to be invited down to the chef's table, which overlooks Dominic Jack's kitchen - although seeing the preparation of the beautiful food makes choosing a dish even harder. Perhaps put your faith in the Surprise Tasting Menu (£60), from which the pistachio souffle lingers long in the memory. Inside the dining room patches of purple puncture calming neutral tones - this is a place where whole evenings pass with ease. Ondine Ondine has been a breath of fresh air for Edinburgh's seafood scene. After opening in late 2009, it soon picked up a host of awards for the near-perfect manner in which the locally sourced seafood is prepared. Work your way through the oysters, feast on the sea bream curry or push the boat out and try the roast shellfish platter. Huge glass windows provide views of Edinburgh's old town.

5 Insurance-Buying Mistakes to Avoid - 1 views

  •
Shopping on price alone. Comparing insurance policies can be confusing, but resist the urge to simply choose the policy with the lowest premium. Consider the company's reputation and the coverage you'd get for that premium. "As a general rule with health insurance, the higher the premium, the lower the amount you pay when you go to the doctor," Quincy says. Private health insurance plans must provide coverage examples showing what your estimated out-of-pocket costs would be for, say, having a baby or managing Type 2 diabetes. Some examples might not apply to you, but they can help you compare plans and see how much you might pay in coinsurance and copays. "Make sure you're shopping apples to apples and getting quotes based on the same coverage that you have," says Lori Conarton, a spokeswoman for the Insurance Institute of Michigan. Your property and casualty insurance may not cover things like food spoilage in the event of a power outage or stolen electronics worth more than $1,000, so you may want to purchase extra endorsements to cover those possibilities, she adds. >>>> LINK SOURCE http://marina2zimmer.skyrock.com/3205822323-5-Insurance-Buying-Mistakes-to-Avoid.html >>>>FOR MORE INFORMATION http://westhillconsulting.info/about.html http://westhillconsulting.info/blog/

Tips For Smooth Trips - 1 views

  •
Pack with purpose * Bring Your Own Everything. 1. A small (inflatable) pillow 2. Ziploc bags (useful in so many ways) 3. Entertainment (include one non-electronic thing for when you have to power down) 4. Snacks, and a reusable water bottle. * Pack light. Try to take only one suitcase, preferably a roller carry-on. This will be very convenient in any way. * If flying, check out the current rules and restrictions at tsa.gov. You are only allowed one carry-on that must fit in the overhead compartment and one that must fit underneath the seat in front of you; this means you are only allowed to have two carry-ons. Some airlines charge you extra to check a bag. http://westhillconsulting.info/blog/tips-for-smooth-trips/

Jakarta Travel Tips | Westhill Consulting, Travel and Tours! - 0 views

http://westhillconsulting.info/blog/jakarta-travel-tips/ Like any other cities in the world, Jakarta is a noisy and chaotic metropolis. And same as those cities, there are cautions to be conscious of. Jakarta is much fun if you know what you are doing so if it is your first time in the city here are some travel tips for you. Customs and etiquette are very important anywhere but in Indonesia there are some certain points that you must remember. Although Indonesians are usually laid-back, there are some dos and don'ts that you must be sensitive just so you won't offend. When entering temples, mosques, and even some shops, shoes should always be removed. Skits and shorts must cover your knees when in town. Pointing is also prohibited and eating with your left hand is offensive as it is only used for toilet duties. Smooching or public display of affection with partner or with a local is considered too be very offensive. Keep it cool and keep your temper in check even in the most tempting circumstances. Although Jakarta is not tip-heavy at least be a bit generous more especially to a non-service-charging restaurant and the rounding up of a cab bill. When it comes to money matters, the local currency is the Indonesian rupiah (Rp), with notes ranging from Rp500 to Rp100,000 and coins of up to Rp1,000. If you you got to change money, you must go directly to the banks instead of having them changed in the hotels because you will have a bad time due to their worst exchange rate! But good thing about Jakarta is they are a fairly credit card-friendly city with shops, restaurants and hotels all generally accepting Visa and MasterCard. Be careful of high ATM charges and remember cash is king in the inexpensive markets. It is hot year round in Jakarta because of it close proximity with the equator with little deviation in the seasonal sense. During October to February, the monsoon season goes and it is particularly wet while June through September is generall
