About The Licenses - Creative Commons - 2 views

This little 3 minute video is a great way to introduce Copyright and Creative Commons to middle/upper graders. Simple enough to get started with how these two, CR and CC, work together for good.

Creating a Google Sites Template - YouTube - 1 views

Besides making page templates for use in site creation, G Sites is great for making site templates. I just did one for a LA ePortfolio I will have all students in grades 5-8 create this year. This gal responded to my G+ post and set a great video that shows how easy the task really is. Clears up confusion about where the template actually goes when you are working in a domain.

As Sallie was Googling at the Summit at WLC, I was presenting at a one to one conference down the road at CUW. We explored the philosophy in connection to the possiblities offered by chromebooks, tablets, etc. In my research, Dave Tess and Jason Schmidt came through with some information on the latest chromebooks and their inability to project easily through VGA projectors. This is another reason that chrombooks can't be considered a teacher's main device, IMHO. Also, this information impacts purchasing of classroom projectors for the future.

This app from the chrome store can be used on chrome browser, chromebook, iPad, or iphone. Sync. If you already use drop box this is a must. OPen the app and you can start a new document or open one from your drop box or google drive and start working. Makes data flow in the ipad world a snap.

Get more cloud storage space. You know you want it. This is like Dropbox in how you upload and store and/or share docs and images. It is also the same in how you as a user get more space. Invite others! The ability to share large files that email can't handle is comparable to DB, but I think the sharing is set up in a more intuitive way. Faculties could use for sharing on specific projects -especially if it is a non google school.
