Ran into an issue with students signing in to Chrome on shared computers. This causes major issues when new students log in to the same machine on a shared account. I will be testing this workaround to remove the screen and hopefully avoid the issue in the future!

Useful Extension that works with Libre Office or Open Office to upload documents to Google Docs. Nice to be able to use as a quick backup option for important documents, or can be an easy way to get a document up to Google Docs so it can be shared and edited in the future.

Among other things, Casap said technology is causing students to learn in new ways and is providing them with almost constant access to information. The changing landscape, Casap said, makes it even more important for teachers to have access to professional development and for there to be a focus on digital leadership in schools.

As Sallie was Googling at the Summit at WLC, I was presenting at a one to one conference down the road at CUW. We explored the philosophy in connection to the possiblities offered by chromebooks, tablets, etc. In my research, Dave Tess and Jason Schmidt came through with some information on the latest chromebooks and their inability to project easily through VGA projectors. This is another reason that chrombooks can't be considered a teacher's main device, IMHO. Also, this information impacts purchasing of classroom projectors for the future.
