A Google version of Evernote looks like it is on the way. I'm excited, since I already live in Google Apps during the day, I would love having all of my notes in Apps too. Currently using Scratchpad (A Chrome Extention) which ties into Drive, but this looks more feature rich.

Useful for Google Apps as well.

They are suggested equipment purchase lists for 4 different categories $135 $1500 $5000 $20000 I have not checked out all the equipment, but thought this might be useful to share with churches looking to get into broadcasting their services.

Haven't tested this out yet, but seems like a great feature. Looks like it is a free and paid service level thing. I was skeptical of Proclaim's price to value ratio, but the more we use it the more it seems to be worth the monthly/annual expense.

I can agree with one of the don't use, we had our church with one of those before we moved to FinalWeb. We have been with FinalWeb for a few years and they have been slow to release responsive designs out. Their streaming service is affordable and solid. They do now have app options which I have seen but not explored.

Excellent short article with essential IT management concerns and strategies for colleges and other non-profits, including  our synod, high schools, schools and, yes, churches. The same key questions and communication activities need to take place. The upfront costs of an IT system are only the beginning. The costs over the lifetime of the system (even a single computer with software) need to be included and budgeted. 

$5 a month gets you Windows 7 from your iPad!? I wonder if Microsoft has actually signed off on this very interesting service.

Great music available for free under the Creative Commons license. Good for video productions, etc. There are all different genres available for whatever mood you wish to strike. Many classic pieces that would be suitable as a background pre-service or pre-function filler. Curated by WFMU radio station.

If you are streaming in an HD format using the FinalWeb streaming service this is a page on how to update the player to be an HD player. There is also some other bonuses with the customer player including automatic start and a custom message when you are not broadcasting. From the CLS eNews 012116 - Chris Treder, WELS teacher at Apostles Lutheran School in San Jose, Calif., has a collection of music he wrote for use in classroom music curriculum and with junior choirs. He is offering his music via the Alive in Christ Music website and you can download the music for free. There is both instrumental and choral sheet music, and a service for Ascension available along with other helpful resources.
