Bought a book today in epub and mobi formats, but not from Amazon, so it didn't sync to all my kindle-app devices. Found this. I'm guessing there's a version for Windows too.

Bonus!: Send documents from other applications to your Kindle via the Print menu, or right-clicking in a Finder/Explorer window.

The only downside is that the file has to be 50 MB or smaller. :(
Great tip.
Macs have this feature too in some Apple apps (Mail, Pages 5, etc.) under Edit > Start Speaking.
There also a chrome extension called "read & write" for this on the web.
Article makes a good point that this is better for "lighter" fare. :)
Also, hadn't heard of this blog until now, and will now be following it.
Accordance is offering this 25% off coupon good on any of their products until April 30, 2012. Also, Accordance products, modules, etc can now be purchased in the Mac App store.
A NY Times review of OnLive's cloud based virtualized Windows 7 PC with MS Office for which you pay a puny $5 a month and use from your iPad. Coming "soon" to smart phones, and, of most interest to churches and schools, to your local Mac or Windows PC. Faster than any physical desktop and using an ultra high speed internet connection, the OnLive PC will almost entirely eliminate the worst time and software costs of operating a Windows PC. Read David Pogue's NT Times review to learn about the benefits and draw backs of OnLive's implementation.
Looks very interesting Randy. Thanks for sharing. this looks very promising. Have you tried it? I just downloaded the iPad app and created an account so I'm going to give it a try.
Manage up to 30 iOS devices at a time with Apple's new Configurator app. Aimed at schools and businesses with multiple iOS iPhones, iPads, etc. to administrate.
I sometimes want to copy and paste some text from a PDF that wasn't scanned with OCR (e.g. some essays in the Seminary Essay File). I take a screenshot of the paragraph and upload the screenshot file here.
(Screenshot-selection-to-file shortcut on a Mac is CMD + SHIFT + 4.)
LastPass has 90 days to fix the potential exploit before ProjectZero releases the exploit to the public. The Mac Geek Gab Podcast recommends switching password managers if LastPass has not "patched the hole" in half the time (May 1).
I personally have LP on all my devices, having paid money for the mobile version.
1Password seems to have a stronger reputation from the podcasts and bloggers I follow, but the desktop app was much more expensive than LastPass. Perhaps I'm getting what I've paid for. :(
Interesting episode with a former teacher, now presenter for other teachers on teaching the "gifted and talented" student. The episode isn't so much about the education end, as much as the technology behind Ian's work. Website looks very useful for teachers.

April 3 to 9 Olive Tree is giving away a Free e-copy of the ESV Bible which is one of the translations being considered for adoption by the WELS. Olive Tree's Bible Reader is my choice for lowest cost, richest features of available cross platform digital Bible Study tools. Nice paralleling of multiple translations along side original and nonenglish language editions (Greek, Hebrew, Latin, etc.). Large library of Bibles and commentaries to chose from. Better prices and far less blotted than Logos.
