    Grief is said as a reaction while facing any sort of loss. Basically, it is associated with the feeling of yearning, regret, sadness, anger, guilt and so on. It includes a range of feelings from the deep sadness to anger. The process of adapting any significant loss can vary one person to another. It depends on the belief system of victims, his or her background, relationship to what was lost, and many other factors.


    Emotions can also vary person to person, and some consider it as the strength, and some said as mildness. Similarly, the thought process during grief also varies with the sense of emotion varies. When someone faces the feeling of regret or guilt, he or she thinks like "it's all my fault" or "I could have done better" and so on. These thoughts are troubling or soothing, so people generally bounce in between their thoughts. The behavior fluctuates from crying to laughter. Sometimes it also helps to engage in various activities like writing, cleaning, exercising and so on. Some people like to share their feelings with others, and some like to be alone with their feelings. Simply, the response of grief counseling with the change in the behavior of a person.


    The two main styles of grief include instrumental and intuitive. The instrumental grieving involves concentrating on the problem-solving tasks in order to control or minimize the emotional expression. The intuitive grieving involves heightening the emotional experience that results from the feeling to share feelings, exploring the lost relationship, recognizing the true meaning of life. There is no right and wrong way to show and experience the grief. In the general way, grief is said as a depression, which can be healed with time. Everyone grieves in their own way so there is no ideal way to overcome from grieving. Some people are very emotional who can easily dive in their feelings, and the others are hardy enough who don't show their feelings in front of anyone.


    Grief has distinct states because the sense of loss is on-going, and it is very common to observe different states. The feelings associated with grief include denial, fear, anxiety, anger, guilt, and depression. Grief is generally said as a multifaceted response of loss that may create particularly with the loss of someone or something which you had a great affection or love. The emotional response to loss may either physical, social, behavioral, cognitive, and spiritual dimensions. The terms grief and bereavement may be used interchangeably. Bereavement refers to the state of loss and grief is said as a response of loss. Grief is a natural response of facing loss, or it is an emotional trauma.


    Grief is associated with a variety of losses like losing something or someone special, end of the relationship, unemployment, or ill death. The loss can be categorized as physical and abstract. The physical loss is related to the something that an individual can touch or measure like losing a spouse and on the other hand abstract loss is related to the aspects of an individual's social interactions.
