Ajax, shorthand for "Asynchronous JavaScript and XML", is a web development technique for creating interactive web applications. The intent is to make web pages feel more responsive by exchanging small amounts of data with the server behind the scenes, so that the entire web page does not have to be reloaded each time the user requests a change. This is intended to increase the web page's interactivity, speed, and usability.

A new open-source social networking software gains its power to be used in schools and other organizations. University of Brighton was the first to introduce Elgg, a social network to help teachers in their interaction with children and use social networks like MySpace, blogs and document.write(MLnkMk('=b!isfg>#iuuq;00efm/jdjp/vt#!!ubshfu>#`cmbol#?Efm/jdjp/vt=0b?'))Del.icio.us feeds for educational purposes. If earlier, the access to these sites were seen as a an obstacle and were banned, now many teachers see it a helpful tool as this attracts great interest among teenagers. Every participant taking part in the project will have a blog with profile page, and have an opportunity to share photos, ideas and communicate with friends in online communities.

Ellison is not your typical teen, although he modestly says skipping five grades is attainable feat for other kids."It's just easy," said the Lincoln Park teen. "I don't understand why other kids couldn't do the same thing."Ellison found himself in college at age 12 because of boredom and a bet.Unchallenged by middle school, Ellison skipped seventh grade because he was earning straight A's without doing any homework. His father then challenged his son. If he could accomplish the same feat in eighth grade, he'd find a way to get him in college. Ellison quickly won that bet.
