dotSub is another site beyond YouTube that makes available a wealth of video resources. This one is unusual in that it offers the facility for those who upload their videos to create subtitles in any language.

Mr Picassohead is a fun website. It allows users to create their own 'Picasso' by selecting different types of faces and facial features, colours and so on and dragging them onto a canvas. It is a great way to begin a unit of work on Picasso, Cubism or abstract art with students.

ON BİR AYDIR DEVAM EDEN HUKUK SKANDALINA KİM SON VERECEK? 1 Ocak 2009 tarihinden itibaren uygulanması hukuken mümkün olmayan 3167 Sayılı Çek Yasasının ceza içeren hükümleri çoğu mahkemelerce uygulanmaya devam edilmekte ve Yüksek Mahkeme de bu durumu maalesef onaylamaktadır. Uygulanamayacağı yasa ile düzenlenen, bu nedenle yasal olarak yok hükmünde olan bir kurala göre ceza vermek, gerek Anayasa'da yapılan temel haklar ile ilgili düzenlemelere, temel hak ve özgürlükleri içeren Uluslararası Sözleşme hükümlerine ve gerekse Türk Ceza Kanunun 2. maddesinde düzenlenen "kanunun açıkça suç saymadığı bir fiil için kimseye ceza verilemez " kuralına da aykırıdır. Diğer taraftan TCK'nın genel hükümlerine aykırılık içeren mevcut çek yasasının ilgili maddelerini uygulamak imkanı kalmadığı için, "suçun cezasız kalacağı" gerekçesiyle bu boşluğu kıyas veya kıyasa yol açacak biçimde genişletici yorum yapmak yoluyla doldurmak ta TCK'nın 2/3 maddesi kapsamında mümkün değildir. Suçun cezasız kalması, kanun koyucunun sorumluluğundadır.

Karşılıksız çek sorunları hala çözülemedi, yaşanan bunca Adaletsizlik ve Hukuksuzluğa rağmen çek yasası çıkmadığı gibi, iktidar partisi bir yıl süreyle erteleme işini bile becerememiş gözüküyor. Adalet Bakanı Sadullah Ergin'in bu soruna yaklaşım tarzınız biliyoruz ve gerek basında gerekse TBMM konuşmalarında gayet net ifadeyle " Çek Mağdurlarının sorunu bizim sorunumuzdur, nasip olur en yakın bir zamanda müjde veririz demiştir. Ekonomiden sorumlu Devlet Bakanı ve Başbakan Yardımcısı Sayın Ali Babacan, çek yasası ile ilgili olarak basına yaptığı açıklamalarda, kısa ve öz kelimelerle Karşılıksız Çek hapsinin hem Evrensel hukuk kurallarına, hemde Ticari yaşam kurallarına aykırılığına değinerek kesin ve net şekilde görüşünü belirtmiştir.

I like all of the definitions in this blog post. They sound connected to past research, yet new. I know I was feeling odd at the "Digital Is..." Conference, because I don't want to let the technology disappear into uses. It's better, I think to look for what we can get out of particular technologies. That's what we are doing now with Google's Wave. "Alongside these discussions Frances Bell suggested the term Co-Digital as a better term to describe the process of "…seizing the opportunities presented by the newness of technologies to spot changes and then shape the development of the technology."" As this paragraph suggests, we still need to look at "digital technologies" to see how we can exploit them for what we need.
