Oh my gosh, it works. After two days of trying to figure out why perfectly good code wouldn't work, Dr. Halavais told me that I had to zap gremlins in my PHP text, because the text was imported. Anyhow, I'm currently teaching my freshmen a book called A Long Way Gone, and since I need to find interactive ways to keep their interest buoyant, I thought this quiz might actually work in my own classroom. Thanks to Jen Rock and Dr. Halavais for their help in getting this accomplished.

This site tells how to add links to your Website using HTML coding. Links are a key to the interactivity of the Internet, so I thought it would be good to know.

Although we are not there yet, I found this site by Google to be very interesting. The fact that Google lets you play with their code and run scenarios is amazing. The code playground seems similar to what we see in firebug - you edit the code and see an output. It allows for Google to operate on a whole new level and interaction. Allowing people to freely test your code and learn from it, mow that's cool.

This page is just a basic intro/course description for an HTML class taught at UC Berkeley. It's really just a few sentences, but it's one of those short on words/long on meaning pieces of text that I admire because it gets to the meat of what HTML is all about in a very intelligent way. What struck me, though, was the line that states: "... it's valuable to know HTML even if your day job involves working with a content management system... " I work with a CMS all day! As I've mentioned before, I work for CNN.com and mainly produce interactive features and such, yet I know shockingly little about them there Internets! This course will hopefully help me bridge that gap between the material I am comfortable with, and that which intimidates me.

Final Assignment. Interactive, customized Google map of the Quinnipiac campus. Color coded and packed with photos, links and more. The page includes a cascading dropdown select menu (from module 6), so you can see which buildings hold which departments. Hi every, a little late to join the crowd, but better late than never! I found this site last semester when I was working on my website for 512. While it is a little hard to take in at once, and there are alot of annoying ads, I found the basic meat of the content to be helpful when I was teaching myself HTML.
