I came across this site dealing with HTML through Google. Browsing through, I found it to be great, even for myself, a stone cold beginner to this stuff. It's pretty much a complete tutorial regarding HTML starting from the most basic parts all the way to the advanced material and know-how. In the page itself you will see [Previous] and [Next] buttons which walk you to the next level of the tutorial, down the left side of the page is each part of the tutorial. Hope this helps!
I found this website by googling php for dummies. I was having a difficult time after reading and watching the tutorials so I immediately began looking for the basics and some explainations. This site made it easy to get the basics and a lot of alternative ways to find tutorials. I recommend it for anyone as confused as I was at the getgo.
For anyone who attempts the guestbook challenges, this tutorial looks like it will offer some solid guidance. Thank goodness for those kind-hearted programmers who do what they can to help the simpletons. :)
A group of ten nice PHP instructional articles. The first is a friendly Introduction to PHP tutorial. The entire site (AllSyntax.com) looks like a good resource for ICM 505.

This tutorial walks you through from the most basic steps, but it also explains very in depth material as well.
Another great beginners' tool. What I like about this site are the links within the tutorial that allow you to locate almost anything (Javascript wise) you could possibly be looking for (IE: checkbox selection, popups/alerts). It is also organized in a pristine manner which is of utmost importance.
Not sure if this will be useful in Module 1, but I've used this for adding Flash, ActionScript, and Photoshop content. Don't sleep on this site because they offer video tutorials that walk you through each step -- very helpful to "shadow" these instructors.

EchoEcho's Javascript tutorial provides a good start on how to learn javascript. I like how they have specific sections the most common uses of javascript(Browser detection, form validation, animated buttons, cookies, drop down menu, multiple link, frameset script, and popup windows).
The following is a site complete with all sorts of tutorials for PHP and MySQL. It is separated by topics such as Setup, Admin, Syntax, Database, Connect, etc, and allows you to jump in where ever you feel the need to. I'm a newbie, so this site has been great to read through.
The key to this tutorial is that it is created for "the total non-programmer." This site is a step by step break down of javascript and answers many questions you may have.
This is a great website that explains PHP in a very simple manner and includes pictures, tutorials and much much more. I found it VERY helpful when trying to gain a grasp of what exactly PHP is.
This HTML tutorial website provides examples of how to create basic tags, format text, and add links. This will be helpful when learning how to write your own HTML.
