Blueberry Muffins - 0 views

  •
I restyled my recipe for blueberry muffins, giving it a border, colorful headlines and some interest in the type style. I can't believe how difficult this all is!!
  •
Looks nice - and reminds me of Willy Wonka!

A horizontal menu with css - 0 views

  •
This was a simple, easy-to-follow tutorial on creating a horizontal menu with CSS. I attempted to credit the website in the comments field within the code.
  •
Allan: but this is a link to the directions: can you link to where you've applied them? Thanks.

Nancy's Fibonacci Sequence - 0 views

  •
Finally! The mistake I was making was silly, and I was so annoyed at myself when I realized what it was. Here in all of its purple glory (it's my favorite color, so prepare to see lots of it this semester), I present to you my Fibonacci sequence.

Dice - 0 views

  •
Visualized the Dice! It took me a while but I finally got it! Instead of the random numbers popping up I replaced them with some die images that I found. I had to perform a list of "if" statements to make that happen. I also thought it would be cool to make this in to an advertising site, and give each user 3 rolls to roll a pair, if so, they win a small prize of sort, depending on the advertisement, possibly for a casino? We'll see..

On the 3-2 video, I posted a question about using if/else VS. switch around the 23:45 mark. This is for challenge 3-b. Thanks.

All the President's Menus gets a menu! - 0 views

  •
I created a working, horizontal menu bar on the main page HTML file for the web site I created earlier in the semester. The menu bar allows people to click on individual presidents' names to find out their favorite foods.

Downloading mysql-cheat-sheet-v1.pdf - Added Bytes - 0 views

  •
A MySQL cheat sheet from the folks at Added Bytes. It isn't much for specific syntax, but it gives a broad overview. Explains different types of data used in setting up your database table. Also much date and time info, functions, and some sample select queries. Gives a feel for what's involved with the PHP/MySQL combination.

I can't belive I FINALLY got this!!! I probably wrote a lot of unnecessary code in this one, but every time I tried to combine strings I would get an error message. Check to find out what your zodiac sign is.

The Fibonacci 500 - 0 views

A lighthearted look at the Fibonacci Sequence, styled with some quick and dirty CSS. Looks OK maximized in Firefox - disliking IE more and more every day.

Ellise's Picture Emporium - 0 views

  •
This site is supposed to display some of my photography work. It is simply supposed to introduce people to the style of pictures I take from landscapes to people. The menu bar on this site I learned last semester in 512. It is supposed to navigate the user throughout the site.

Olive Juice Soaps - 0 views

This is something I've created recently. I use PayPal for the "store side" of the site. I've recieved a few orders here and there...no million dollars yet, but everything adds up (eventually). I had been using AdWords...but had to recently suspend that service due to lack of funds in my own pocket. I just registered for Google Analytics and will be sure to email you a snap shot of the screen. The "store" side is located under products.

Chicken Kiev - 0 views

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Unobtrusive Jquery for webprog-5-e. Nav bar is dimmed at 40 percent, and goes to 100 percent on hover. After hover, it returns to 40 percent. The whole div takes the effect. BTW, this is how I called my div in Jquery: $("#mydiv"). Took me almost 3 hours to find that out. :)

I added a comment to the viddler timeline. This comment is useful in terms of validation. When you go to validate your pages and you have included "POST" the page does not validate. For validation purposes you must enter it as "post".

What is Ajax - Asynchronous JavaScript and XML - 0 views

  •
As all my other bookmarks have been, this page explains in wordy English (but understandable) what Ajax is. After reading this page I think I have a better understanding of what it is....actually implementing it might be another story though...

Here is a short quiz I made in PHP! It was actually pretty fun to make. It is a short 10 question quiz with completely random questions. Enjoy!
