  I did a mockup of my portfolio site with a free wordpress template I found.

  My question is what do you see as the potential limitations or opportunities of this particular template for a portfolio site?

  Oops, I posted a response to your template over on the uFolio site...hard to keep track of all this stuff! One thing that I see as a limitation of this template is the scarcity of text, but, depending on your audience, that could also be construed as a good thing.
