London, 29 April, 2013, Interoute, owner operator of Europe's largest cloud services platform, today announced the significant expansion of its Ghent data centre, which can now accommodate up to 8000 servers for hosting and colocation.

Having compared cloud with traditional dedicated hosting solutions on their respective costs and performance issues in the preceding posts in this series, the final instalment provides further analysis of the two in regard to security issues.

Interoute has completed the ISAE 3402 and SSAE 16 Type II assurance report for its Amsterdam, Berlin, Geneva and London data center operations. The report was completed by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) through a six-month sampling audit across seven security and risk control areas.

London, 23 October 2013: Interoute, owner operator of Europe's largest cloud services platform, has today announced the launch of its free Jump StartUp package which will give startups and developers access to its flexible, on-demand cloud hosting service, Interoute Virtual Data Centre (VDC), for up to a year. Interoute VDC is the only cloud service to offer free data transfer across Europe, giving startups unrestricted access to Interoute's networked cloud computing.

The first Italian Open University has launched a project designed to offer cloud-based e-learning. Marconi University says that the use of the cloud will move away from a colocation facility and this has come about as a means to improve the reliability of its digital learning resources.
