Because they've noticed we're all tired of being uber-connected. Dude.
Intel has implemented email-free Fridays and Google has developed an Email Addict function that turns off your email for 15 minutes when you don't have the guts to curb your compulsive checking yourself.
Other companies have encouraged their staff to commit "email bankruptcy'' - purge their entire inbox and start again. Revolutionary!
