Found this model of follow focus on an episode of Film Riot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pUZf-JY6JM. Pretty ridiculously expensive but if I had the money, it would probably be this one because it seems adaptable to just about any camera/lens.

Website for high quality DSLR camera rigs. I've seen these used in a few places before but not much in schools. As DSLR shooting becomes more and more prevalent, I think these will come down in price a bit for schools to buy. If the prices don't drop here, then the knock off brands will take over in a year or two.

Good tutorial on the importance of focus and how to mark focus points on a lens. Ends with a DIY follow focus which is totally not worth it but hey, it sucked me in enough to watch it so I suppose it served its purpose.

A lot of dubstep and techno bands offer their work up on Monstercat. As long as you copy and paste a few things into your video credits or youtube description box, you're AOK to use the music. AWESOME for sports highlights, commentating background music, or anything that needs a little trance or base drops.

I like the first part of this tutorial in terms of how to shoot b-roll of people. Generally speaking, when I talk to students about shooting video, I mention about 5 shots. 1. medium shot (waste to head) 2. close up (just neck and head) 3. over the shoulder (shooting over THEIR shoulder seeing what they're seeing with their shoulder in part of the shot) 4. Details/Cutaways (close ups of whatever they're doing, typing, reading, working, tapping fingers, etc...). 5. Establishing shot of the area (wide angle shot of the entire area)
