I a selfie taken by a monkey owned by the monkey, camera owner, or the public domain? Great video to illustrate issues around copyright and the meaning of the public domain.
Lights to bright? How to make a cheap dimmer switch. I think I'm going to buy the materials and just have a student make a couple of these during class time.
Great 10 minute tutorial on basic text animations. ECAbrams does a great job showing how keyframes could easily be synced up with audio waveforms. I've seen a lot of text effects and presets in programs like LiveType and iMovie. This tutorial shows how many of those effects are made from scratch. I'm guessing once they're made, the properties can just be copy and pasted to another text layer to make the workflow move quickly.

Use the "write-on" effect to underline text or animate lines in Adobe Premiere Pro. I'm working on some essay writing tutorials at the moment. While my talent writes on the ipad underlining what she needs to, I'll come back afterwards in editing and re-create the underlining in Premiere using this effect so it looks more professional.
Trouble finding funding for your classroom? Video production equipment? This site looks interesting. If you're making a huge difference in kid's lives, consider throwing your name out there. You might just get some funding.
Aperture priority mode allows you to change the aperture (iris) of the camera, but everything else is auto adjusted for you. Use this mode if you're shooting for the shot that focuses on the subject and blurs out the background. Open up the aperture all the way (lowest number), zoom in as far as possible (helps enhance the look), and the background will automatically drop out off focus. If it's too dark (like if you're indoors), you might have to add some light to the shot so that the shutter speed doesn't automatically drop super low. If shutter speed drops too low, the shots will all of a sudden become choppy and the person's movement will look like a robot.
