This section of the videoconferencing cookbook has been prepared for K-12 and other teaching communities to address their specific needs for the planning, implementation, and utilization of videoconferencing in teaching and learning. It is intended to be a rich source of information that can be used equally by teachers, administrators, paraprofessional, as well as the technical staff in K-12 environments.

The Minnesota Mega Conference Jr. 2008 program is a chance for interactions between students from their own classrooms. This 4 hour project is designed to give students the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with each other across the state of Minnesota. This culminates in every participant contributing in a real-time learning community using advanced multi-point video conferencing technology. Projects are shared by students for students promoting state wide community building and awareness of others.

Telescopes in the southern and northern hemispheres, with a longitude difference that enables students to observe the night sky in daytime classes, are linked by Internet2 to campuses in Louisville, Kentucky, and Toowoomba, Queensland
