Good 2 Go Naughty Bags! I know that HDPE is High Density PolyEthylene - but who or what are / is PDG? OK just googled it: here we go: http://www.pdgsupplies.com/. But, hang on, Elaine, surely we can't say they 'never' biodegrade - after all, eventually, the Earth and its Sun and the Sun's galaxy will 'biodegrade' - surely we need to define some terms here? If PDG's bags break down into dust, then they are biodegrading. The fact that they are degrading into lethal carcinogenic toxins is another argument, surely? If they never biodegraded, but simply fragmented, I'm thinking there would be no threat: the particles would be like gold, and simply pass through any biological organism without interacting or leavng a trace. I'm guessing here, but is the problem that they DO biodegrade, and then mess up the normal chemistry of organisms that ingest the particles? Mark XXX
