  Sheng H-e, a cognitive neuroscientist at the University of Minnesota, and his colleagues conducted a study using subliminal pictures.   Nevertheless, when heterosexual men were found, a Gabor Patch, where there had been a picture of a naked man they had a more difficult time finding the direction. As did the homosexual men the heterosexual women faired far better when shown a picture of a naked girl.
  
  It appeared however, that the results were somewhat better once the volunteers were found the pictures that appealed for their sexual orientation.
