TPACK Surveys | TPACK - Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge - 1 views

Here is a teacher / admin survey that is free for use and editing. They just ask that you leave a description of how you intend to use it so they can track it. It was last updated in 2009. I feel like I've seen parts of it before...hmm.

Educational Technology Plan Template - Connecticut State Dept. of Ed. - 2 views

This is a link to a word document that details the state of Connecticut's technology plan. They have the typical mentions of leadership vision etc..., but also some other buzz words and ideas that peaked my interest. I was impressed with their mention of striving to provide all of the families with equal access to technology at home to support learning and moving more toward student directed learning as opposed to teacher directed learning among other things. If they can indeed insight these changes, they will be well on their way to integrating 21st century skills in their school systems. Good food for thought!

Computer History 1939 - 1994 - 0 views

This was a pretty cool site I stumbled upon. It gives a pretty general overview of major technological advances in a particular year. Who knew that Hewlett Packard was founded in 1939 and produced a device that Disney used for sound effects in the movie "Fantasia" in 1940?! And that the "Speak and Spell" was invented in my birth year of 1978. The timeline stops at 1994 for some reason. Interesting nonetheless!
