We slept in the Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta in Mexico with this children who are aged 12 and 9. Sunbeds on the beach were somewhat of a problem, as in a great number of hotels, but I have to know to returning down there at around 7am to ensure we'd beds. I hate this, but you must fight fire with fire, and in Europe we are all used to it!!
