Office supply retail chain Staples Canada has partnered with US grocery delivery service Instacart to trial same-day delivery service, in select locations, across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

US retailer Target has launched a same-day delivery service, offered through its internet-based delivery unit Shipt. The same-day delivery service is available via Target.com. Customers will be able shop from 65,000 items, with the choice of their orders delivered to their home in an hour.

UK supermarket chain Morrisons and US technology company Amazon have agreed to expand the same-day, online grocery home delivery service Morrisons at Amazon, to more cities across the country.
