Awesome place to go for librarian web sites! Ideas with lesson plans, and sharing of ideas! I used this site a lot last year when I first stepped in for the retiring librarian and needed ideas NOW.
CHICAGO - In collaboration with Instructables.com and the American Library Association, Make It @ Your Library introduces www.MakeItAtYourLibrary.org, a new website tailored to librarians interested in implementing makerspace projects in their libraries. Fully searchable, Make It @ your library connects users to projects, based on library-specific search criteria.
This site is useful for teachers because they can share their lesson plans with other teachers or even parents. It would be good for collaboration. Music teachers, art teachers, or librarians can look at what their classes are learning in the classroom to integrate their curriculum.
Since 2006, millions have been inspired by TED Talks: short, inspirational and educational videos by speakers expounding on topics from science to spirituality to dance. TED stands for technology, education and design, and its stated mission is to spread ideas. The talks are often thought provoking and the speakers passionate about their topics.
I love this site! Great for teachers, administrators and librarians. All about reading, and the love of reading. I have been using it with my author spotlight lessons. Blogs, Twitter,... Check it out!
