This image gets to the heart of many of the future ready inititives we work with staff to run. The original image allows you to scroll over each of the attributes and learn more about what they entail. I think this might be a great way to talk with administration and teachers about the common goals we have in education.

Many libraries encourage staff to participate in opportunities for the library to actively engage in the community outside library walls...with good reason: Collaborations can enhance the library's ability to serve your community and make library services more visible and valued. Although aimed at public libraries, thought some of the strategies/resources were applicable to school libraries.

by Grant Wiggins, Authentic Education I recently visited Thetford Academy in Vermont (one of the few and interesting public-private academies in New England) where they have a formal and explicit commitment to "experiential learning." So, the leaders of the school asked me to visit classes that were doing experiential learning and to talk with staff at day's end about it.
