For the current generation of teens, the Vietnam War is something that happened very long ago, and may only be known to them through video games (Strike Force, Men of Valor) or movies (Faith of My Fathers, Watchmen). Keeping in mind the Edward Gibbon quote “I know no way of judging of the future but by the past,” introduce young adult readers to the intimacies of the Vietnam War and its lasting effects on generations of Americans through these books.
