Twitter will allow you to get ideas quickly from other teachers you know. If you have a problem and need some help, just "tweet" it and people can respond with suggestions. This could be used as a type of collaboration even though you aren't meeting face to face.

This can be used just like Twitter, but you could also create a group where ideas can be thrown around, stored for long periods of time, and then easily found again.

Free web software that can be used to create a blog or website! They just came out with a new, updated, more secure version too! I'm thinking of using this software next year to create a blog with my choir. Does anyone currently use this software and do you like it?

Access to a wide variety of graphic organizers for K-12 in all subject areas. You can quickly find by grade level or subject area.

This site has some handy and downloadable graphic organizers for science and math. A few I enjoyed were the number line and hundreds chart as well as the organizer for the water cycle.

This website is a great resource for teaching environmental science at the elementary level. Journey North allows students of various ages to observe and post migration patterns or seasonal changes. Students can also look at posts from others in various regions and study patterns of migration and seasonal changes. I did this one year with my first graders and they enjoyed sharing their observations and hearing about others'.

Treasures has some really good graphic organizers to help students reinforce strategies and skills. The organizers can be found on the Treasures link under the start menu on any computer from school. The Treasures website also has extra information to help teachers organize their lessons.

I clicked on the oral language link and found resources for "advance organizers". Now I won't have to always create my own. Thank you for sharing.

The Treasures website has some fun games that reinforce skills/concepts that are taught. We find the book we are working in, and then work on the skills specific to that week. (language arts, phonics, etc)

For those who don't know, the DeForest Library subscribes to this service. It allows you to enter your library card number and download up to three free songs every week. I use it to add music to my atmosphere in the classroom.

Sadly, my Madison PL card doesn't work. :(
