Goddess a Day - 0 views

References to Greek mythology are all over English literature, and this is a good resources to get the stories/references about goddesses from many different cultures, not just Grecian. It has an easy to use alphabetical list so it's a one stop shop for goddess information and those ever elusive allusions.

Ask the English Teacher - 0 views

This is a blog that gives new updates in grammar, defining rhetorical devices, dictionaries and the like. It's a good place to look if you have a random question about grammar or what is happening in the English language today.

Top 5 Classroom Management Strategies - 1 views

The strategies themselves might seem like common sense, but the explanations that back them are solid and give decent food for thought. It's also comforting to know that this teacher backs these methods after 17 years and after teaching many diverse students and subjects.

I Wanna Hear a Poem - 0 views

  •
This is the first poem on a series on HBO called Def Poetry Jam that features spoken word poetry. Might be a good visual for a poetry unit on modern poetry/tying it back to the Beats in the 1950s which are the predecessors of modern spoken word.

Othello Rap - 0 views

This is from a production of the play "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged", which aside from being hysterically funny would be a good way of making Shakespeare more accessible. There are at least references to every work in the canon throughout the play, and most of the big names have a "summary" in the show. There are more clips from it on youtube, this is just a favorite.
