Since we are all in the early stages of developing our personal learning networks (PLN), I found this blog post to be a useful description of what a PLN should include and the purpose it can serve.  Definitely some things to keep in mind as you continue to build your own personal learning network.

826 National is a network of nine nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping students, ages 6-18, with expository and creative writing. The organization was founded by the American writer, Dave Eggars.

Believe it or not, Hulu is good for more than just watching that episode of Desperate Housewives that you missed.  The News and Information section gives you access to major network news programs as well as PBS specials, full-length documentaries, and much more.  These programs can be a great tool for introducing different cultures and perspectives into your classroom.

This website has a blog (good for our personal learning networks!) news, research, information about funding, politics of education, educational research, and more. A solid resource for all of us future educators!

This is a really social networking site exclusively for teachers to share lesson plan ideas. You don't have to become a member to see some of the cool ideas other teachers have shared.
