This is another page from webenglishteacher, and it lists seriously any author you would ever teach in your class. Click on an author, and instantly it points you to different lesson plan ideas about that author. So cool.

This site is a favorite of mine. You can create a profile and log all the books you have read, are reading, or want to read as well as give them ratings. For English teachers it is a great resource because it provides thousands of reviews on books you might be interested in teaching. It also has lists of books such as "new authors to watch for", "best young adult books", and of course the humorous ones such as "sexiest immortal males of all" might also give you a good laugh. This is a great example of a media project that student's could do on a variety of authors. They could put it together using power point and showing it to the class could be beneficial for all students when reading texts by that particular author.

This is a great tool for teachers because it allows them to search for poems by specific author, title, or theme as well as giving audio clips for many of the poems. It also has resources for both teachers and students.

This site has a very wide selection of different lesson plans for different authors. It is a good resource for teachers to find accompanying course work or helpful study tips for common high school English classes.
