I like that they are collecting stories of people we might know now, our mothers, uncles, neighbors, teachers, volunteers...

I like the way this story shows the personal growth and contribution of an individual in this chapter of African American history.

"Match African American heroes with the events that made them famous." Given our project, to write about and produce media about "unsung heroes of African American history. This game might be a good place to start, because we could then say that students can't use anybody who is in this game.

"Have students research a time period or a specific topic and have them identify a notable African American they believe deserves more credit or attention. USe the online resources listed below and others for useful information."
