This website is very useful when looking through lesson plans and/or activities related to career exploration with a survey to discover what their interests may be and what careers they could explore. This can apply to grades K-12.

A web site that has ads but also some great puzzles, videos from the cable channel and even games. You might get stuck in Whizzball. A rube goldberg type puzzle. Have fun creating and solving.

For secondary students. My eighth graders love Bill Nye. This is a good web site for Bill's daily log and weekly quiz. Students will use their reading skill to follow the interesting science created on this website.

If you have geocached you know this site. It is a great site for your students to explore the world near and far through the a giant game of GPS hide and seek. Students will learn map coordinates and programming skills when using a portable GPS unit.

Section of the Discovery website dedicated to all things gross - worm world, roach world, yucky and fun games, your gross and cool body. Very entertaining for students but still contains a lot of scientific info. Could definitely be used for a younger group of kids doing a science project on the human body, entomology, etc. Does contain a games section, so students will need to be supervised to stay on track.

From the list from Dr. Topp. Very complete zoo website with photos and live cams of the animals, stories about the zoo animals, and education programs. Kid friendly and useful if doing a project on a specific type of animal residing at the National Zoo.

This is a fantastic site that is run by the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Emory University. It is very interactive and deals with the cultures of several ancient civilizations. Civilizations include: Near East, Egypt, Greece, Rome, Africa, and Americas.
