Nokia may be working on a business-class E series smartphone that will run Symbian^3 and will pack in a VGA display called the E6 or E6-00. The company's E-71 smartphone has been a popular handset due to its compact size and full QWERTY keyboard in a BlackBerry candybar-style form factor that lends itself to ease of one-hand usability. The device is said to also come with an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, which would be on par with the anticipated E7 Slider. In the past, Symbian^3 was limited to an nHD display resolution of 649 X 360 due to the OS only supporting this. Hopefully, with Nokia re-gaining control of Symbian development from the Symbian Foundation, the hardware-maker has figured out a way to overcome this limitation to support a full VGA 640 X 480 display. Nokia's business candybar E-series with QWERTY, like the E-71, have in the past been limited to a paltry QVGA resolution. Despite of smaller screen, making the small resolution look considerably sharp still, when comparing specs, Nokia's E series candybar QWERTYs look anemic compared to competitors such as BlackBerry with an HVGA display.

BlackBerry Torch 9850, a large glossy 3.7-inch display is surrounded by a glossy black bezel. BlackBerry Torch 9850 is a smart phone with a large display screen of 4 inches and promises a quality display. With a weight of 4.8 ounces and a thickness of 0.5 inches, the Torch 9850 cuts a svelte figure that's accented by soft lines and smooth curves. Instead of BlackBerry's trademark 2.8-inch display, the Torch 9850 has a roomier 3.7-inch touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480. Over 3G, there was too much pixelation, but playback was seamless over Wi-Fi. Running BlackBerry 7 OS, the Torch 9850 features multiple screens for rapid app navigation as well as an HTML-enhanced web browser. Of all the apps pre-installed on the Torch 9850, Wikitude is by far the coolest. Using augmented reality to see what other BlackBerry users said about our favorite restaurants and other New York City hotspots was really fun and engaging. The Torch 9850 is powered by a 1.2-GHz Processor Qualcomm 8655 processor and 768MB of RAM, the same as in the BlackBerry Bold 9900. Taking photos with the Torch's 5-megapixel camera and flash was a blast. Images were bright, with vibrant colors and sharp details. Most notably in this latest OS, is the new browser, which will do your HTML5 up right but turn its nose right up at Flash.
