A website designed for Spanish language teachers. Teaching resources for Spanish class, lesson plans, worksheets, Powerpoint presentations and more free Spanish teaching resources.
I attended MAFLA (Mass Foreign Language conference) Friday and got these websites and apps from some of the presenters and thought I would share them. Arounder: $3.99 app with video footage from inside different museums in cities all over the world. We saw Las Meninas as though we were there. Amazing!
Quizstar4students (website): great for amking quizzes in that if the student leaves the site the quiz is submitted. Limits cheating.
Studyblue: free app: for flashcard creation. Similar to quizlet.
Videoeditorfree: free app: kids make videos and edit out whatever is not essential.
Showme: free audio and video app: begins with a blank screen and one can upload most anythng to it.
For those of us who teach Spanish (incase you have not seen it) Bablingua has a great video and accompanying activities for this holiday. Activities cost money but the video is free.
Gret website that offers beginner to advanced podcasts in Spanish (some English for the beginners) to discuss cultural elements of Spain. Narrators are Ben, and Englsihman and Marina, a native of Madrid. Students love to identify with Ben, who is always corrected by his wife, Marina, for his misuse or mispronuncation. Great podcast on Semana Santa. They also have accompanying transcripts, exercises and more for a fee. I bought it once when I taught Spanish 4 and it was well worth it.
