  • This was the third year I was there and it was the best yet because the buzz was different.
  •
Darren Kuropatwa uses web 2.0 tools to meet his students where they are. He is very transparent about his teaching by uploading his slides to slideshare, podcasting students' opinions, sharing rubrics, and posting his class evals for all to see.

YouTube - Pay Attention - 0 views

  •
Youtube video examplifying exactly why we need to meet our students where they are. They are powered on all the time, except when they come to school we have them power down.
  •
Another great video for why we need to incorporate web applications etc. into our curriculum.

Wordle - Beautiful Word Clouds - 0 views

  •
Tool for creating word clouds. Great for any type of class.
  •
Wordle is a toy for generating "word clouds" from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.
