If you have a scholastic book that you want to cover, you can look it up and they provide you with a good plan for class.It provides good ideas and activities to help you teach. Any teacher can use this to help in their class.

    Lesson Plans (2): This website is a great resource for teachers to gain student activities, lesson plan topics/ideas, book ideas to use in the classroom, worksheets/printables, etc. There are videos and other interactives as well. Teachers can also purchase products to be used in their classroom. There are a variety of topics and grade levels available. As a new teacher, this would be a great resource to look for new lesson ideas and Scholastic is a credible source.

    Lesson plans, unit plans, and classroom resources for your teaching needs. Browse or search 10,000+ free teacher resources for all grade levels and subjects. This website is another great website for lesson plans and activity ideas. As I was browsing, it provided specific lesson plan and unit titles and if there was a worksheet or activity associated with it, there was a link. Again, I would use this in the future for lesson plan ideas and even for current assignments.

    I chose this website because the wealth of information that you can get from it. Not only is their lessons, but there is also books that go along with the lessons, and strategies to teaching the lesson too. This would be very beneficial my first year teaching.

    This site provides many different subject areas and options for lesson plans. The site says they have over four thousand to choose from so I feel this site would be helpful. This site would be most useful when looking for ideas to go along with a lesson plan that I already created or to get ideas of subjects to make a lesson plan.

    This website is loaded with lesson plans for all ages. There are also lesson plans for every subject group. You can create a lesson plan on this website and also upload your lesson plans to the website. This is a great tool for teachers because even if they don't want to use these lesson plans, they can get ideas from other teachers and then they can use them in their own classrooms.

    Language Arts/Reading (2): This website is a great teacher resource that contains interactives, printouts, and other useful tools for the classroom. It is well-organized and easy to use. It is broken down into age categories/grades (elementary through high school). There is a section for parents that contains extended activities, projects, podcasts, etc. that students can complete outside of school which I think is a neat feature. The resources gathered on this website are numerous and helpful. As a future teacher, I would see myself using the Classroom Resources section in order to supplement my lesson plans and include technology in the classroom.

This website has lesson plans and interactive tools to help teach different topics in language arts. I would use this website for the lesson plans (a couple already piqued my interest!) and I played around with some of the games and can see how it will help students strengthen their writing skills.

There are lesson plans, videos, photos, ways to use technology to stay active, assessment ideas, websites that contain other useful information, etc. It encourages children to be active and fit and has a support network for teachers. It would benefit any teacher to scroll through the images of the different things that can be done in a classroom and use those ideas. having an inviting classroom is important and they have very cute ideas for bulletin boards to the layout.     I chose this site becuase it has so many ideas that can be adapted and formed to fit your specific class, kids, and needs. Talking about smoking with kids can be a touchy subject just because they may have family members or parents who smoke and you don't want to be seen as attacking them.
