If a student missed class, the teacher can use this sight to help students and they get immediate feedback. As the website says, this allows students and their pupils or their teacher to work together in real-time. Once I start teaching, I may find more uses for this site. Amber Koth

PE Central: Web Sites for Kids - 0 views

I love this site because of the VAST amount of information on it! It can be so hard to know when doing something like P.E. what to do to teach the skill and then, with such a wide range of skills and abilities, how to assess the skills you've taught. This give you ideas for lessons, bulletin boards, assessments, adapted P.E., and so much more.
  •
I love PE central as it has different lesson plans and quizzes and ideas that pe teachers came up with and uploaded for others to use. I also, like it because if i came up with a game that worked and students loved i can upload it and other teachers can use it for their class.

I decided to use this as my Web 2.0 site. I wish I would have found this site earlier on my search. This site is amazing at the amount of subjects and just cool stuff to look at. If I was to do a Math lesson, then there are some fun games for that. There are also: english, science, puzzles, kid stories, arts and crafts, videos, and even experiements. I especially like this site due to the fact that it has a math section.
  •
This is a great site to go to for educational games. It has hundreds of games for all grade levels and all subjects. This site could be used for free time, and the student could choose the subject and game.

This is a scheduling tool teachers can use when setting up a collaborative work meeting. A teacher could use this because one user creates the Doodle and shares the link with other. Here, everyone can share availability to determine the best meeting date.

I just recently learned of this website from a teacher who has been using it in her class. She reports that it works great and really helps the students. It is basically an organizational education site for your classroom. Students can log on to Haiku and look at assignments and other upcoming things. Teachers can upload any resource they would like students to view. Similar to Moodle, students can submit homework online. Haiku can also be synced with Google, allowing things such as a Google Calendar to be implemented.

I have heard of edmodo being used in the classrooms, and I think it is a great way for parents, students, and teachers to connect. Teachers can notify parents about upcoming tests and projects so they can give their students a little extra push to finish a project or study for a big test they have the next week.
  •
Edmodo is a popular site for teachers and students. Its setup is similar to Facebook so that the students and teachers are well familiarized with the functions. This website is great for teachers and students to communicate in a virtual classroom kind of way.
  •
I chose this site because it helps teachers to manage a digital classroom. I would use this site to schedule quizzes, manage progress, and assign homework so students and parents could keep up on expectations and schedules.

On the main page it gives you a few categories to choose from such as general sites, Current events, and government. Within each category it gives you many different links to other website that may include power points on a topic, videos, lesson plans and much more.

English/Language Arts Lesson Plans | Teacher.org - 0 views

  •
I chose this website because it had a wide variety of lesson plan ideas for language arts for all grade levels. I would use this in the classroom by having a more well rounded look at ideas for all grade levels. It had some great internet resources for students to use the web to learn as well.
  •
This website has multiple lessons for language arts/English classes for grades K-12. The lesson lengths range form quick hitters to few days long. I could modify a spelling game for my PE class in the future.
